Dallas- Ft. Worth (DFW) Wedding Photography Areas

We are Dallas photographers, and we are happy to offer wedding photography services in Dallas County, Tarrant County, And Beyond.

LOCAL AREAS

The Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas wedding photography market covers 13 counties in and around North Texas. Often referred to in shorthand as DFW or called The Metroplex, the combined population is the fourth largest in the United States and the largest in the South.

The main cities where most of our brides and grooms host their weddings and receptions are Dallas, Highland Park, University Park (collectively called the Park Cities), Preston Hollow and Ft. Worth, TX.

There are, of course, plenty of wonderful churches and reception venues in places like Arlington, Plano, Garland, Irving, McKinney, Frisco, Carrollton, Denton, Richardson, Addison, Allen, Colleyville, Coppell, Grapevine, Mansfield, North Richland Hills, Prosper, Rockwall, Southlake, and The Colony.

Drawing a small circle spreading out from our home base in Plano, TX you’ll cover Collin County, Dallas County, Denton County, Ellis County, Hunt County, Johnson County, Kaufman County, Parker County, Rockwall County, Tarrant County and Wise County, all easily within driving distance.

Some couples from nearby cities like Weatherford choose us, and we’ve shot many a rustic wedding at Rough Creek Lodge & Resort near Glen Rose.

Dallas Wedding Market

Statistically speaking, the DFW wedding market is a perfect place for planning your wedding and finding top wedding photographers.

Most couples can find an ideal venue within 25 miles of their home (65%) and 80% find it within 50 miles.

As costs keep rising, the average guest count number of 184 in 2006 has dropped to 132 in 2014. Smaller numbers mean having more choices of the best reception sites. Of course, there are plenty of top venues catering to 300+ all across town. As the saying goes, "Everything is bigger in Texas."

When you consider the average Indian wedding guest count of 500 to 600, it is easy to see why the most prominent hotels are the most popular for certain crowds.

Fun fact-- the largest Dallas Indian wedding we shot at the Gaylord Texan had over 2,000 guests in attendance.

As of 2014, the average length of engagement dropped to 16 months, which is still a long time to be counting down the days to plan the perfect wedding. It doesn't help that DFW is the 2nd largest wedding market in the United States with just over 55,000 weddings held per year.

If one of your relatives reminisces about the “good old days” they just might be surprised to learn that the average amount of $2,240 spent in 1945 when adjusted for inflation is more than the $26,645 in 2015. You can share with them as well that this number comes from the Saturday Evening Post, so it must be true!

Of course, DFW wedding budgets span a broad range, and the region is well known for over the over the top platinum weddings. A quick glance through the Real Weddings section of local bridal magazines gives you an instant feel for the types of lavish receptions happening year round in Dallas - Ft. Worth.

We’ve made it easy to check out the many wonderful ceremony and reception sites in our galleries. There is also a handy list of the best Dallas wedding vendors, including those specializing in Indian and South Asian nuptials.

Austin & Houston Wedding Photographers

Other Texas cities we often shoot in are Austin with its surrounding Hill Country weddings and Houston, TX, which includes The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Baytown, Conroe, Pearland, and Galveston.

Then there are the beach weddings on South Padre Island and occasional oil- funded estate weddings in Midland and Lubbock.

If you are getting married outside of Texas, we've travelled all over to shoot destination weddings and cover private events. You might find it easier to bring your photographer with you, so we can shoot your engagement or bridal portraits locally and then keep creating together once we get back home. Check out our wedding photography pricing page and FAQ for even more answers to common questions.

Regardless of where your wedding is, it remains our pleasure and our professional and creative focus to serve you well.
